Yup, still a couple of hours and it’s a nine. A day like any other day in the year … or maybe not exactly. Fireworks at midnight, huge parties everywhere, people drinking more alcohol then any other time in the year. Ah it’s reason to go out, don’t have to worry about anything have fun anywhere any time with friends and do weird freak n dance moves with people you’ve never seen before in your live. Can’t wait! Whatever your plans are I might have some tunes to get you in the mood.

But first I want to thank all our readers for their love they’ve given us in 2008. That’s what keep us going. This year was really an amazing year for PHASE02. And 2009 will hopefully even better. As you can see we’ll be leading in the new year with a fresh new skin, which is actually not finished yet. We’re gonna try something pretty special, but that’s for next year. Also we want to deliver more interviews. We’re gonna try to launch some interesting contests etc.. It’s gonna be awesome.

Our dear friend Distrakt from Australia has recently released his new remix of $$ Troopers by Huoratron. Who doesn’t want to hear that? Two of the dirtiest electro producers mixing their sound to one uberdirty remix. The track that got Huoratron famous, cut up and even more distorted by Distrakt. I think Huoratron should release a remix EP. There’ve been released so many awesome remixes Enjoy!

Not so long ago I received a whole bunch of tracks of this Japanese electro producer known as Hoshina Anniversary. I’ve to be honest with you, I’d never heard of this guy ever in my life. But I curious as I am I checked him out. I don’t know anything about him. But after listening to his music I know he’s got a lot of potential and really knows how to make really nice roaring basslines. Eventhough his productions sometimes kind of  sounds a little cheap, I mean it doesn’t sound really complicated. It’s hard and banging and the basslines does it all.

I’ve selected two tracks and one Chromeo remix. These really describes his style and If you dig him and you accidently own a record label… He’s still unsigned!

I have to admit. Sumeco aka Theo Aartsma is one of my favourite young talented designers at the moment. I know I mentioned him earlier on PHASE02 but he recently has updated his portfolio with fresh new even more amazing work. Also he made his first REEL, a compilation of  his first motion experiments. sumeco rocks! I can’t wait to start motion graphics myself. Freakz Me Out,  a German label bigged up by IDJ Magazine as one of the best in the dirty electro scene, recently released a new EP of Turkish newcomers Gooseflesh.

The “Wet EP” features three Gooseflesh originals that demonstrate why these two guys have been receiving heaps of blog love this year, with their pumping beats, catchy chords, powerful riffs and tight production. Band members Jackdied and Jasko are fond of the sound of Erol Alkan, Daft Punk and SebastiAn. Elements of these and other influences can be found on “Wet”, “Love District” and “Take Shoot”, fused together to show us the Turkish take on maximal Electro.

Besides the originals this EP brings you remixes from Fukkk Offf, Zero Cash, Nahn Solo and Disco Trash Music.

We got some great news from Steed Lord and Jack Beats. They agreed to release their latest remix for in 320 for free. That’s because of all the great feedback they received the past few weeks. It’s been played on Kissy Sellout’s radio show on BBC Radio1, by the Loose Cannons on Kiss Radio. It’s also been posted on several blogs already but I’m putting this up for those who missed this wubblin remix of Jack Beats.
