Again we’ve received quite some banging email this week. One of them was sended by aUtODisco which is a project of aUtOdiDakT & John Disco from Traktor Records who ‘ve been working on a remix of Hools by Don Rimini and decided to launch it in the blogosphere. Am I glad they did that. This is one must-have 320 for all the Djs out there.

aUtOdiDakT and John Disco join forces as djs and producers in this project aUtODisco to stretch the boundaries of electrohouse by melting fidget-house with ravesounds and deep house trademarks.

In my opinion this combination just can’t go bad. aUtOdiDakT who you might know from the Metallica Remix competition at OneMoreDisco. Or you probably more likely know him from his label Traktor Records in Germany who have released tracks from Artists like Malente, RQM, IMP-ACT and more.

John Disco is also known as the other half of Kleinkariert who have released under Kris Menace‘s label Pop Up Trash. Also as a DJ he has played along side some quite big names like Boys Noize, Phonique, Jesse Rose and a lot more.

aUtODisco is still unsigned which is qutie interesting from the labels out there, Scream 4 Daddy is already heavely played by Malente and Shir Khan.

Drop It 01

2 Comments Drop it, Electro, House

As you may have noticed, we have a new feature in our sidebar called The Dropbox. We’ve already received very nice tracks through there, so we figured, lets feature them in a special topic. So here it is, our first Drop it post of many to come. We might make a separate category for this. We’ll see.

Anyway here we go.

We start off with a track by Alice Klar!. Alice is from liverpool, Chris is german, when they meet you get a bubble gum chewing tune… with the potential to float the dance floot! I couldn’t describe it better! Enjoy Montag by Alice Klar!.

The second very nice remix we’ve received in our dropbox is from two young talented London based djs/producers called J.E.M.C.. They’re both 17 years old and have been djing for only 6 months. Check out their already amazing remix of Benny Bennasi’s I Am Not Drunk.

Yes, as you can see. Our dropbox is really a succes. Our third tune is a really funky one of the Super Fresh Power Squad. They describe their music as intergalactic spandex sex funk. Sexy it is and reminds me a lot of of Chromeo’s funky sound. Check it out.

Now we’ve got two more tracks left. One is from Moog Skywalker & Zappenduster both signed under aUtOdiDakT’s label Traktor-Records. The other one is from two Antwerp based producers Netsky & Nightrash with a very nice minimal sound. Simply a very nice warming up club track. Also I’m wondering how they got together because Netsky is actually more a Drum ‘n Bass producer. Wonderful how they mixed up their style. Enjoy!

Metallica remix competition

6 Comments Electro

One More Disco had the great idea to launch a remix competition with Master Of Puppets by Metallica. They received really amazing entries and I had to luck to be part of the judging.

The goal was to use the the gitar intro in the first minute of the song and create a sweet banging track out of it. That goal has been reached for sure! The top3 has been selected and prizes have been given out.

1st place = DJ Mehdi- Lucky Boy at Night (signed by DJ Mehdi) – CD Album + A post on One More Disco (and other popular music blogs)

2nd place = MixMag Erol Alkan Disco 2006 CD + A post on One More Disco (and other popular music blogs)

3rd place = A post on One More Disco (and other popular music blogs)

I suppose we’re one of those ‘popular’ music blogs.

The third place goes to OldSchoolReunion. I don’t know much about these guy(s) but I know they’re from the UK and they rock big time! Check out their amazing remix which was slightly different from all the other entries and that’s why they deserve this 3rd place. Enjoy the remix!

Second place is for PHANTOM’s Golden AXE or PHANTOM’s Revenge I’m not sure about that! I think they’re both the same guy though. Anyway … this awesome trashed up dirty remix really pleased the judges, including me! I love this one and the way he kept some original sounds of the intro. It totally works, the beautiful comforting sound before the explosion of pounding dirty electro!

And the first place, the golden medal goes to aUtOdiDakT!!! He really impressed us by the way he kept the original melody and mixed this to … a track … that makes you bounce! A track that’s full of variation and definately deserve the first place in this competition. Damn this remix gonna make a crowd go crazy, I’m pretty sure of that! You can get the 320 version here, so all the DJs outthere, I recommend to try this out on your next gig! Congratz to this remix hero from Germany!!!
