News from Basserk

3 Comments Electro

Yeah, we’ve a new announcement to make. From now on, once in a while we’re going to receive news updates from Basserk. It’s a small underground electro/punk label from Amsterdam who’s prepared to give the most recent information about their new releases along with some great tracks.

So this is it, you’re about to discover some great new underground talents.

A new vinyl has been released: Split 1, with 2 tracks from $jammie the money (NL) and 3 tracks from Genjini (F)

Producer and DJ $jammie the Money, also known as the DJ from Nobody beats the Drum releases his first solo project. Fat pumping electro, to the max! Genjini is already known by people following Basserk because of their track on ‘Some Tunes’, the Basserk compilation cd. Now they are back with 3 weird, energetic, bleepy, scratchy tracks. Yep, real bleepcore-electro with a french twist.

And another vinyl release: Split 2, with 3 tracks from Three cheers for dirty (F) and 3 from Lucky Goat (NL)

The french band ‘Three Cheers for Dirty’ spanks your ass with post-tekno electropunk. Three ruff, punky electro tracks, great!, but not for the average sunday morning.
The boys from Lucky Goat were part of another Basserk band called 3-1. Since a few years they operate in a new band called Lucky Goat. This is their official debut. It aint: electro, acid, reggae or hiphop. Let’s call it electronics with a ‘tropical breeze’.

Soda & Suds

4 Comments Electro

Four months ago, three young Belgian DJ’s decided to start producing under the name Soda&Suds. They want just one thing, produce hard banging electro with punk, hardcore and progressive rock influences. And hard banging it is!

Their name is based on one of dEUS‘ big hits in Belgium Suds&Soda, which refers to their rock roots … And the mixture of several different styles you can hear in that track, is totally what Soda&Suds are aiming for in their sound.

Now check out these two track I’ve selected … they’re hard and yeah, they’ve got the guts to remix Guerila Radio form RATM! I bet that remix sounds crazy on a big bouncing soundsystem!

NUFABRIC.org, the online portfolio of Dimo Trifonov & Nikolay Vanchev is finally online. This website shows you the most amazing work of these two top Bulgarian graphic designers.

Nufabric is an unfinished visual orgasm. We leave the opportunity of the finishing touch to our viewer. We engage him intellectually and visually, so he can finish what he sees. We are slaves of the simple and effective forms, mixing them with mostly ironic and direct concepts illustrated with the usage of abstract and minimal shapes in co-operation with typography, soft or pale color combinations and negative space.

The Foals remix competition

8 Comments Electro, Indie

The Foals, an english rock band from Oxford are organizing a remix competition together with last.fm. They offer you the chance to remix Electric Bloom from their debut album Antidotes. The winning track will be chosen by Foals to be released along with a future single as a 7digital download bundle.

There’ve been already some quite remarkable entries. I really liek the way the different producers add their personal touch to this already rocking tune. I’ve selected my personal favourites…It was kind of hard though, they are all so good!

Click the banner below if you want to join the competition or just want to check all the entries. Good luck and enjoy the music.
