DAWs have become the backbone of bedroom and professional studios alike, replacing older more ‘hands on’ methods. Not to say that analog is archaic, infact many opt to record using only analog equipment. A major concern that many analog purists continually come back to is that working with a mouse kills alot of the creativity, midi controllers dontfeel like the real deal, etc (there are a million other reasons why)
Some say that the future will be hybrid technologies that are very digital at the core but will allow users to interact in ways that used to be entirely fantasy.
