This chart is on me. Tony is bit busy with other stuff at the moment. He’ll be back active soon. Meanwhile I’ll try to keep up with Tony’s amazing charts. The following tracks are my personal favourites of last month. I highly recommend to check out Tretmühle if you love good techno and tech-house. They’ve assembled the best underground productions in several amazing releases so far.

Before you enjoy these tracks, I’d like to make our phase02 readers warm for a huge update coming up. You may have noticed a lack of activity lately. Don’t worry. Phase02 will soon be more vivid than ever.

Also thanks to everyone who entered our poll. It seems we’re doing a pretty good job providing original tracks and producers. That’s what I’m aiming for with this post. Let me know if I succeeded. Now enjoy!

Leeks – The Guy Had A Gun (Original Mix) / The Guy Had A Gun / FHD

Ruckspin – Get Naked (Orignal Mix) / Jibber / Ranking Records

Gino, Snake – Metro Area (Original Mix) / Analogue Tapes / Tretmuehle

Alright, so, I guess I am obviously a bit late sharing this, as the materials presented are a bit dated, but I’ve only recently acquired it myself. “Living Inside the Speaker” is a free short documentary filmed a couple years ago by friends “Mike and Mark”. Their project is a DIY independent effort that takes us a little closer into the heart of Bristol’s subculture; specifically, the Dubstep community, and the people involved there in the shops, the clubs, and on the streets.

For those of us who exist outside, living on the outskirts and fringes of this music, it can be sometimes hard to really get a sense of what is happening at ground zero. Of course, with the internet, forums, blogs, and social networking etc. it’s alot easier to stay in tuned with what’s going on – but you’re really getting all of your information online, after the fact, and in a sort of one dimensional perspective.

What I got from viewing this is that with enough interest and some good people you can really take something and make it your own, build it from the ground up. I respect that mindset and implore all those who also share a similar work ethic.
