Dear readers,

This is gonna be my last post in the next 10 days. I’m leaving in an hour to France for a windsurf vacation with my girl and another couple. Can’t wait to get my swim shorts on, chill on the beach whole day long and get away from the internet world for a while. Meanwhile Tony will take care of PHASE02 as good as he can. He’s already composing the June chart.

If I had more time I’d share some more awesome tunes with you. But apparently I don’t… So see you guys in 10 days for new sounds and new artwork to make these beautiful summer days even better.

Compiling this month’s chart was particularly tough because of the volume of great music I’ve been receiving and purchasing. For those of you that haven’t heard yet, Noise Porn has come up with a wonderful initiative, they will be away this summer driving from London to Mongolia in aid of Save The Children. To help them get there, they’re asking for DJs from all around the world to submit mixes, so they can listen to them non-stop all the way there. That’s over 800 hours of non-stop electronic music. I’ve been thinking about co-authoring on another blog for awhile, but picking a suitable platform to voice myself was crucial. The Belgian Techno House or just the’BTH’ are a group of artist’s and really great people; but the blog clearly had no future. This is unfortunate, because in the process of operating the blog for almost a year now, i realized my enjoyment for writing about and sharing music. Overall I had a great experience, but I’m very pleased with my new authoring position here on Phase02.

I decided to approach timic with the idea of a collaboration. I guess because of the name he figured I was dutch!
After chatting a bit and realizing that I don’t actually speak dutch, timic was sport to add me to the Phase02 roster

I thought a great way to kick things off here would be with a chart of my current top 10 favourites in March. Towards the end of every month I will include a downloadable chart, just like the one bellow. The decision to make my chart entirely downloadable is however something of a double edge sword because sometimes certain deserving tracks won’t make the list. I mostly don’t promote parties in a seperate post because I simply can’t keep an eye on all the awesome parties over the whole world. But this time it’s different. I want to promote this because I met the guy behind the scenes and he’s cool and so are his parties. So for everyone who lives near Antwerp, Belgium and loves electro, tech house and techno. Next weekend Friday the 27th of February Café D’Anvers is the place to be.

The next edition of the Electronation night in Café D’ Anvers will boast the legendary Dj T, this German heavy hitter will bring his trademark sounds next to Dutch up and comer Paul Hazendonk and Electronation Resident Terry Toner.

Yup, still a couple of hours and it’s a nine. A day like any other day in the year … or maybe not exactly. Fireworks at midnight, huge parties everywhere, people drinking more alcohol then any other time in the year. Ah it’s reason to go out, don’t have to worry about anything have fun anywhere any time with friends and do weird freak n dance moves with people you’ve never seen before in your live. Can’t wait! Whatever your plans are I might have some tunes to get you in the mood.

But first I want to thank all our readers for their love they’ve given us in 2008. That’s what keep us going. This year was really an amazing year for PHASE02. And 2009 will hopefully even better. As you can see we’ll be leading in the new year with a fresh new skin, which is actually not finished yet. We’re gonna try something pretty special, but that’s for next year. Also we want to deliver more interviews. We’re gonna try to launch some interesting contests etc.. It’s gonna be awesome.
