We received an e-mail from Daniel Gorton a.k.a. Hog, an English producer who is currently living in Berlin to concentrate on music production (and to grow a moustache). He recently started up his own label called Crazy Old Goose Records and this is how he describes the label: “[It] is about bringing fun to the dance floor and exploring exciting ways to develop a cheeky take on the house and techno scene.” Now COG has released his first EP called “Not quite an albatross”. From the title you immediately feel how COG looks at the world, not all too seriously, with a big fat wink! That’s exactly what I like about this label because there are too many labels these days that think they can just start something up and get big. Well, dream on, it’s better to start something out of love for the music and apply a “wait and see” approach.

Ok, so COG001 then. The EP features 3 tracks, besides the original also an exclusive remix by Parisian producer Frankie (Frankie Records). The title track is a blend of a superb bass line, lot’s of bleeps and a shaking  percussion. The third track, called Flan, has a great vibe and will most certainly make your head go up and down!

About three weeks back I received this amazing tune from the guys over at Pelski to promote their new Pelski Night. I bet it must have been awesome. Obviously I totally missed their mail and my promotion comes way too late. It’s not gonna stop me to promote this track though. It’s a ‘relative’ new tune by Pariah‘s highly acclaimed second EP on R&S, ‘Safehouses’. It made me realize I really should visit Pelski more often. They’re posting up amazing mp3′s and it’s truly one of the best music blogs out there.

I always like to support Belgian artists. This time it’s the production duo Geht’s Noch? firing new tunes out there. Jack Union Records released their new Chubby Ep on Beatport a couple days ago. This ep presents two new tracks “Chubby” and “Body Jack” including a simply genius remix by Brabe. These guys know how to transform their crowd into mad bouncing out of control teletubbies. This time it’s no different. They released something not to pleasure your ears but to turn the dancefloor upside down.
