Drop It 12

via Baubauhaus

I don’t know how it is where you live but here it is summer and the sun is shining hard. I’m leaving to France in couple days, gonna enjoy the  summer even more, far away from the internet.. I thought it’s good time to pop some new tracks out there. I’ve been getting tons of messages the past few days. I really can’t keep up with them. But here’s a selection of my personal favorites. I bet you dig them to.

We start of with a brand new production by Graphics. If you’re a frequent phase02 reader you should already know him. Read more here and get his Naked Mario Kart remix here. He’s truly a huge talent and still very very young.

Stinger – Pleasure (Graphics Remix)

Next I’d like to share this Ellie Goulding drum ‘n bass remix by Messed. I love it because it reminds me of beautiful sunset moments on the beach. Enjoy.

Ellie Goulding – Lights (Messed Remix)

Kinetica Records has released “Boys & Girls” by Drlkt Freddie. Here’s the Disco Damage remix. You can find additional remixes by DJ Wool, Killer on The Dancfloor and Sick Boy over at Beatport.

Don Diablo has created a crazy mash up with probably his most successful track “Who’s Your Daddy” and “Seven Nation Army” by the White stripes. Just have to listen to believe it. It’s probably been launched in the blogosphere by tons of other sites already. But here it is anyway.

Don Diablo vs. The White Stripes – Seven Nation Daddy

I’d like to end with this relaxing sound by VeemanJanssen.

VeemanJanssen – Put The Flage On

I wish you all an amazing summer. Let me know what you think about the tunes and what ya plans are for the next few (hopefully) sunny months.

Samuel L. Session – Can You Relate

4 Comments Tech House, Techno

via BauBauHaus

It’s HOT! Yes, I Mean the weather. It’s actually 32°c outside and I’m inside blogging about an even more hotter subject. Samuel L. Session, the Swedish Techno hero has brought out a new remix Ep of one of his most succesful “Can You Relate”. I bet you head over to Beatport right when I tell you the remixers on this release. New versions of “Can You Relate” were created by Jorin Voorn, Slam and Anja Schneider. Here’s the link to spare you some time: Click to buy on beatport!

To be honest it’s actually the second remix Ep they did on “Can You Relate”. And I’m actually so late on my facts that there’s already a new release by Samuel called “Inner City Dust”. Anyway he rocks! Check ‘em out!

Night Of The Living Blog

9 Comments Electro, House

Okay, who asked for more dirty electro? This is gonna be the post you’ve been waiting for. Honestly I’m not a huge fan of this genre anymore. But I’ve been getting tons of (sometimes) quite decent dirty electro productions I couldn’t ignore them anymore. So lets get this over with. A week ago the label Buzzard Gulch, which is a division of Coco Machete, has released a compilation called “Night Of The Living Blog”.

The new compilation from Buzzard Gulch, Night Of The Living Blog, pits the dead against the living in a struggle
for survival. The tracks, nightmarish stormers from up and coming producers, have been hand selected to
represent best what’s bubbling just six feet underground. Chaos descends as just outside the fringes of the music
industry hordes of relentless bloggers populate a modern soundscape with a raw music culture reanimated.
Google tried to stop them, the ‘Industry’ has tried to stop them, but they keep coming back in a blood thirsty
lust for new sounds. THEY WON’T STAY DEAD!

Tiefschwarz – Chocolate

5 Comments Deep House, Techno

Tiefschwarz, the German deep house specialist are back with their third album ‘Chocolate’. A huge huge leap forward so it seems, since this is their first release on their own record label , Souvenir. This release is the result of their artistic freedom that comes with their independence. Like they describe “Chocolate is everything: subtle, bitter and sweet, without milk and sugar, it is hand crafted from only the finest ingredients.” An album that will make you do the craziest dance moves on the dancefloor, yet at the same time, Chocolate will be perfect to listen to outside the club.

This is not all. Ali and Basti worked with Phillipe Majer, alias Santé to produce the tracks, and the new dynamic that has emerged from the collaborative production process has manifested itself in in a distinct live quality. So much so that Tiefschwarz will now be performing live for the first time. You don’t wanna miss this. Experience the first live performance of Tiefschwarz this summer!

Some Tunes 4

2 Comments Dubstep, Electro, House

Only one month after Some Tunes 3, Basserk is already back with their 4th compilation. Some Tunes present the best electro, pistolpop, fidgethouse, dubstep and electropunk from Basserk artists including: Rawfare, Fantastadon, Petr Passive, Klipar, Distrakt, Lazy Late Kidz, Shock and Awe, Aerotronic, Boemklatsch and more. Clearly a compilation all the maximal lovers should look out for.

Some Tunes 4 is available on Beatport, iTunes, Basserk Shop and other online music stores.
Some Tunes 4 mixed by Aerotronic by basserk

There’s even more news about Basserk. PartyMode, two young guys from California, released their first Ep “A La Mode” on Basserk Records. They made four filthy, dubsteppie tracks and added two electro remixes by Chokr and Nite theories to the release.

Getting slammed by dirty bass and hard banging beats is the only way through this album. So make sure you’re ready for it. This is 100% Basserk!

Again this release is available on Beatport, iTunes, Basserk Shop and other online music stores.

PartyMode – Coma (Original Mix)

If this is not enough, they’re launching a new Kiss Off party the 19th of June in the Overtoom 301, Amsterdam. Guess what! I’m spinning their alongside Distrakt (AUS), Moore & Lezz (B) and Rawfare (SK). If you’re in or around Amsterdam, this is the place you want to be the 19th. Hope to see you there!

Drop It 11

6 Comments Drop it, Dubstep, Electronic, Experimental, House

By Jeremy Geddes

Today I decided to put up a new “Drop It” selection. You remember? This was originally created for all the tracks that reached our dropbox on soundcloud. Today it’s more about the whole collection of tracks that reached us in any way. We try to go through most of them, at least as many as possible and select the ones that could impress us the most. So here we go this is our 11th selection. If you’d like to make it in this post, just put it in our dropbox, send us an email or message on soundcloud or facebook and we’ll look into it. We don’t let our personal music taste influence our choice, we’ll try to select the tracks objectively. Here we go.

A new remix by Graphics has reached our dropbox! Again he managed to impress us with his production skills.

Picturehouse – Blackout Rolling ft. Mr ShaoDow (Graphics Remix)

The next track I’d like you to listen is one I discovered accidentally earlier this week. I was searching hypem for a cool track to make a little animation on. Suddenly I bounced on the following track. I’m not even sure about the complete name. But it rocks! Enjoy! For those who’re interested here’s the little animation I was talking about: Energize Case Study (vimeo)

Pretty Lights – Finally Moving Remix

For all retro game fans, more specifically Zelda, here’s a brand new track by BbobNRokstedy produced around the original 8-bit Zelda tunes and bleeps. For all DJs who’d like to surprise their crowd with some nostalgic gameboy sounds. This electro banger is a 320. Have fun!

BbobNRokstedy – Zelda 2.0

Next up is Owl Vision! From previous posts about this Swedish trash machine we know this is gonna be extremely hard and dirty. If that’s not enough he actually trashed up Toxic avenger this time. Oh boy…

The Toxic Avenger – Toxic Is Dead (Owl Vision Remix)

What about some dubstep and a catchy vocal? Here’s the answer: Zoe Leela remixed by The Unik and Tambour Battant. *explosion!

Zoe Leela – Destroy She Says (The Unik and Tambour Battant Remix)

To end with I have a house remix of the legendary Message In The Bottle by the Police. That’s right! I bet you all can’t wait to find out how that sounds like. Right?

The Police – Message In The Bottle (Thoko Bootleg Remix)

So far our 11th drop it post. As you can see all genres are welcome. We select the ones we like for whatever what reason. Enjoy!
